@Galaxy34 You will need to use the OVERLOAD in game XML editor to change the XML or you can do it via an XML editor I suppose.
You change the projectileLifetime value. Just toy around with it to figure out the distance you want the flak to happen.

How did you make the cannon do that?

@sheepsblood Yeah, it was a special plane. There's a description of how it felt to fly it in this post.

@SledDriver HOLY COW 100 miles! That is like the turn radius of my truck lol

@sheepsblood Yeah, the Blackbird wasn't built for turning, just burning. Its airframe could only handle about 2 Gs, and the turn radius at Mach 3 was 100 miles.

For me, the beauty of the SR-71 comes from the fact that it was designed for one purpose. Most aircraft have to accommodate a variety of requirements, so the design is a combination of compromises. But the Blackbird... it had one thing to do, and with that purity of purpose comes a purity of design that's just beautiful. There's a reason it's still the most striking-looking aircraft ever made...

@SledDriver I bet that it handles like that. Just looking at the body of the SR-71 you can see such a flat design would be like a sled. I like many of us love the SR-71. Not just because of being a design by the USA but, the innovation and amazing abilities it held. It was and is every child's favorite airplane! I remember having a poster of it on my wall as a child. When I think about it, I think how funny it is because, my father was in the Navy and he allowed that on my wall lol

@ThomasRoderick I wasn't aware of the differences. Though, I do love the looks of both. Always cool creative designs.

@sheepsblood No, it's what SR-71 pilots used to call themselves. The airplane was the "sled," because of its handling characteristics; the pilots were sled drivers.

@sheepsblood Well, although the craft does look mostly dieselpunk, the brass pipes connecting pretty much everything does give it some steampunk feel.
Some common aesthetics for dieselpunk are: internal combustion / jet engines, streamlined fairings, iron/aluminum parts, round/smooth wings (esp. tailing edges), exposed cannons/machine guns and the like, while some common aesthetics for steampunk are: baroque shapes, rigid lines (some streamlining might still apply, but they would most likely look like either zeppelins or ships before WWI if anything), brass pipes (esp. w/ valves and gauges), large and/or exposed gears/connection rods, steam engines/boilers (well, that where the "steam" in "steampunk" came from anyways), as well as more jagged wings and trailing edges. So, all in all, this aircraft look dieselpunk, but it would look even more dieselpunk if the pipes are made out of iron/aluminum instead of brass.

@SledDriver Thank you SledDriver. Does your name have anything to do with Snowmobiles?

Also, the best I can output for a GIF with my software is 8fps lossless. Aiseesoft Mac Screen Recorder.

@ThomasRoderick You are correct. I always forget to do something correctly :)
So, I fixed the name of the craft. Thank you for pointing that out.

Great plane, looks somewhat more dieselpunk than steampunk, though.

@SledDriver Oh thats nice. I wasn't sure if it would display on SP's website correctly. Gotta go to an Appt. but, when I get back I will do the gifs some justice. For now I hope you don't mind me linking the one you made.

Plus I will hide my screen controls like you did

@sheepsblood Not bad, but I prefer ones that have less clutter in the background, like this one. Oh, and 30 fps is nice.

@Wakescar Thanks. I think a little weird pipes and stuff is neat to have. Sometimes sci-fi goes too far which, turns me off from it also.

@sheepsblood Make sure you include the cannon fire. Interesting to see a flak cannon mounted on an airplane.

@sheepsblood This is outstanding. You should really upload a GIF so people can see it in action. Or at least include some screenshots.
