Road bike

12.6k CCXRCC  3.9 years ago

Cycling is my favorite sport.I build this bike to commemorate my first road bike. Some ideas came from my bike in real world.Because of the rotator, the speed isn't very high.I'm sorry for this.

Controls
Throttle to run.Under 50% is easy to control.
Roll to turn.Don't turn quickly at high speed.
Pitch to up front wheel or rear wheel. You can do stunt by this.
7 for light
8 for gyro

Have fun!

Very, very nice. I sell high end bicycles for a living and I am super impressed by this build. Eleven speed even! Well done. And whoever said these bikes are scary - I scoff at you sir!!! I’ve bunny hopped pot holes at 55mph in a corner on a bike like this. No problems!!

Oh I was thinking because if you go too quickly the front wheel will go nuts and sometimes the piston explodes and say parts damaged: piston
I was thinking why are you using pistons...
Yep the rear brakes first I was not knowing what I am typing...

@CDRxavier Thanks.Front not brake first.Because on many bikes, the Rear brake is on the right. I use the pistons to press the wheel. So they will stop spinning quickly. And I will improve my skill to make real derailleur.Have fun!

    Very nice!
I personally do not really like road bikes just because the skinny tires. I have MADE a mountain bike from a scavenged bike frame (GT bikes) and bought decent mountain wheel sets (Mavic) and very, very old Shimano 3x8 derailleur. I plan on replacing my current tire (small-block-eight by KENDA) with something more fitting with long-distance urban travel (like, 12 miles! a day). No rack, it still will be a RUGGED commuter.(Suspension was good enough, a ancient DOWN-HILL suspension fork, so going up the pavement is just simple-you ride directly up at it.)
    Upvote for effort and derailleur.
    OOO Shimano 105! XDDDD
    Very nice...
Garmin make bike computers? Mine use a ancient SIGMA one.
    Front brake first?
    Still works just as well.
But why do you need pistons?
Awww you could have mechanized the derailleur by putting rotators(at least some visuals) but this is more than good.
