OV - 10D Bronco

230k BogdanX  7 months ago

Do not upvote this, it's a repost, it had its share of upvotes.
The original had weaker flaps (30 power instead of 60), so the takeoff speed was 15-20mph higher than it should. Unacceptable ... so, I deleted it.

Reposted because a friend request, it's a nice Bronco and there are only a few on this site. Flaps fixed ((ofc i forgot to invert one engine, life would not be so exciting))
Also i tried a new flaps system using a gyro (visible behind cockpit), if you feel chatty, tell me what you think about it. Some of my friends don't like it, but I kinda do.

OV-10D "Bronco"

Germany Livery, Helicopter Hunter role

Controls:
1 - FLAPS
8 - AIRBRAKES (Teeth spoilers no longer have roll role)
5-6 - EJECT PAYLOAD
7 - NAV LIGHTS on/off

Features:
1. Realistic trim/roll tabs mechanics.
2. Double function spoilers (roll/airbrake)
3. Ofc, blueprint and specs match
4. Stable at sea level, max speed (real one) achieved somewhere at 15,000ft
5. On the previous post, the engines had counter-rotating propellers, but for some reason, when i imported the old-save, they are not. Just invert the left engine.
This plane was a pain, a jinx, very moody

I like this, I like it a lot.
I always thought the Bronco was more of a light cargo plane, but this proves me wrong.
In one of Dale Brown's books, I can't remember which one, the hero's borrow one of these and take it on a mission, which turns out rather well.

@jamesPLANESii i wanted this plane in my planes list. Because there are so few on SP (good ones are even fewer)

So far you already should know that I always say exactly what i think, i am not into BS like others here.
I say the truth even if that upsets some people, don't care about social crap, mind games and honey words.
And how many forum posts do you see in my posts list btw?
This plane brought around 80 uvpotes before deleted, the points remained, so is not fair to harvest another points just because some gyro adjustment and some minor changes.

Maybe you could have made it a forum post and left it up and had a link to this plane if you didn’t want upvotes.

@ChiChiWerx invert the left engine, ofc i forgot to do that...
And yes, this plane is not a close attack plane who can survive ground fire.
    By definition is :
twin-turboprop light attack and observation aircraft. It was developed in the 1960s as a special aircraft for counter-insurgency (COIN) combat, and one of its primary missions was as a forward air control (FAC) aircraft
As durability, i set the mass health to 300 (too high if you ask me)...
Btw, what do you think about gyro flaps system?

I do like it, though I might change a couple of small details (personal preferences, mostly). This build is very interesting as it demonstrates how advantageous speed really is in combat. Every time I fly this thing against the convoy, I get mauled by AAA and SAMs, but what would you expect from an aircraft which only flies around 200 KIAS? Nice build, as always.

@AWESOMENESS360 i let my eyebrows grow...
About exacting, before posting the previous one, i inverted one engine to get the right counter-propeller thing.
Now i fixed the flaps power, but propellers are both spinning the same direction, the fix was lost somewhere...
I swear this Bronco hates me

@BogdanX This still looks really good, you should be more satisfied with your work, I understand that you like everything to be exact, but not everything has to be perfect to be appreciated! Also, something seems a little different about the tiger in your profile pic, is it a new haircut?

@Sulaiman123 crap, i remember i corrected this on the previous post, but for some reason, when i uploaded the old-save from PC, the issue was still on.
Well, just invert the left engine.

@Tang0five if one little detail of the flight model or other mechanics is not right, i delete the plane. Don't care about losing upvotes.
    I deleted a 200 upvotes A-10 and a 190 votes f-22.
If they are not good enough.... Zzzaappp :)

Attention to detail and not being satisfied until it’s lifelike is worth the upvote in itself! Bravo!
