How time flies...
My first serious post in nearly 3 weeks.
How did this idea come about? Well, I have liked the C951 rolling stock for many years now, because of its aerodynamic shape and futuristic look. And yes, for the longest time ever, I have wanted a model of the train, but it costs S$150, and only has the end carriage, so I put it off.
Then, after seeing trains being built in SimplePlanes, I suddenly had an idea: why not build my own C951, with all carriages, that I can drive? So I ended up with this.
Apart from this being my largest project ever (in terms of part count), I also lost motivation halfway, and went to try out multiplayer. In the end though, I managed to amass enough motivation to finish this (and because my post schedule would literally derail if I didn't do so).
There was much tweaking involved, and making the emergency door in particular was a nightmare. But ultimately, I'm really proud of my final product.
I hope you'll support this, and enjoy the bottom half of the description!
About the Movia C951
The Movia C951 is an autonomous electric multiple unit rolling stock used on the Downtown Line of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) system.
Bombardier won the contract offered by Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA), beating Alstom, Kawasaki and Hyundai Rotem by offering the lowest cost. The 92 C951/C951A train sets were manufactured by Changchun Bombardier Railway Vehicles, a joint venture of Bombardier Transportation and CNR/CRRC Changchun.
Unlike other Movia trains, the C951 features ergonomic seats, red reserved seats and perch seats, like the rolling stock running on other MRT lines.
It also has a Dynamic Route Map Display, platform gap reduction protrusions on the doors as well as LCD displays.
After Bombardier sold its train division to Alstom amid financial difficulties, the Movia series, including the C951, now belongs to Alstom. Hence this train is branded as an Alstom product, even though it was originally manufactured by Bombardier.

you build it far better than me! :)
this was my attempt about 6.5 years ago
I have to say RCP, this is your best project yet! The fact that you have made a huge build with incredible detail and amazing features, found on no other build is amazing. I'm very impressed that you pulled off a 1347 part build in 17 days. You should be very proud of this build and I hope this gets at least (or over) 60 upvotes!
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬
Trains are really underrated here, so if you like this, please give an upvote or spotlight! Comments are well-appreciated too!
Credits to @Scratchoza for the walker, and @1714 for the train bogies.
For mobile users, you can run this train on this Android-compatible railway mod. (rip iOS) (idk if the train works on the map though)
Or, you could wait for my upcoming mobile railway…
How well do the coupling magnets work? The ones on my train are a bit crap.
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes I see, I just never expect anyone to find my old cringe build lol
@destroyerP I mean that I saw your train while searching for it, and I was motivated to make a better version
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes wait what?
@destroyerP I was partially inspired by your build lol
LETS GOOO 8TH HIGHEST TRAIN OF THE YEAR
@AlivePan MAJULAH SINGAPURA!!!
@AlivePan the first time someone called me blind HAHAHAHAHAHAHA 💀 💀
.
im sorry, im dumb af 💀
@AlivePan grrrr
Anyway, for some reason my computer-powered stove is the 10th-highest electric vehicle of all time
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes not to flex or anything + no offense but I have declared superiority by being #1 in monthly and being #3 in yearly (sweden tag)
@Neruneten21 yep, I’m immensely proud of it. I’ve been wanting a model of this train for 8 years, and finally, I have one, and it’s in the way I want it.
As for upvotes, 37 is already pretty high for a train (since all trains are underrated); I’m literally highest of the month and 9th-highest of the year. Though I do hope I’ll get more lol
@teddyone02 since when was the downtown line in Indonesia? You blind af
@RepublicOfCursedPlanes oh hehe
@teddyone02 pun was intended
It would also be cool if the somewhat-related R160/R179 of the NYC Subway were posted.
@AlivePan u really like indonesian builds hahahahaha
i think there was a pun somewhere on the description, give me a second to find it
@Sense2 Thanks! I’ve seen better trains than this (someone made a full replica of the Big Boy here), although mine’s the only train with a walker, so…
Bro actually made the best train in simpleplanes 🔥🔥🗣️🗣️⁉️⁉️🙏🙏
@CR929thenewSPplayer 新加坡学校里有双语教育,因此我英语话语都会讲。可是,我通常还是用英语来沟通…
