I Lenin takoy molodoy,
I yunyy — Oktyabr' vperedi!
And Lenin is young once again,
And the young October is ahead!
Your eyes do not deceive.
Robo-Lenin.
Today marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Vladimir Ulyanov, better known by his pen name, Lenin.
Undeniably an important figure of history, his theories and policies have led to dramatic shifts in the course of human history, for better or for worse.
To describe Lenin as strictly evil, much like believing him strictly good, is ignorant and passes up the lessons to be learned – all of them – from the communist experiment. What works, what doesn’t, and what we must know to move forward as a species.
This silly little thing is intended to be a light-hearted marker of the one-hundred years past, but I urge you to learn a thing or two about this interesting man. If there’s one thing the USSR got right, it was the importance of knowledge and the power it brings.
Backstory:
On the 30th of December 2023 the Moscow Kremlin was invaded by a large group of masked insurgents intent on ending the Russian Federation in its entirety. Leading them was a then-mysterious man later known by the comically generic name “Ivan Ilya Ivanovich”. While his name was ordinary, he himself was not.
Their leader a naturally-borne mutant of sorts, and generally regarded as not human at the genetic level, the coup’s success was inevitable. All important personnel inside the Kremlin, including Russian president Vladimir Putin, were taken prisoner. Initially thought to be a hostage-taking attempt, the Russian military surrounded the red-brick fortress and demanded their release.
It was then that the airwaves lit up, a message was sent to the world, and the play was revealed:
The politicians weren’t the hostages.
The country was.
Nuclear silos around the country, or at least the ones that still functioned, had been stormed through meticulous planning. Getting the launch codes was no challenge to Ivanovich, his ability to read people makes him virtually a mind-reader of feelings and emotions. He knew when he was given a fake code, and kept pressing until he got the correct ones.
The Russian people were given an ultimatum: accept the new rule, or perish under the vengeful fury their own country’s nuclear stockpile. The insurgents, Ivan said, won either way, for he didn’t particularly care for Russia as it were, and wished to see it either wholly reformed or removed entirely from world affairs.
The manifesto went out, and the people made their decision.
By the middle of 2024 over forty million people had fled the newly-formed Soviet Union’s sole republic, the Russian Soviet Socialist Republic. Those that stayed were pleasantly surprised by Ivan’s extremely centralized rule. The man knew what he was capable of and pressed his advantages. For once, the planned economy actually outperformed capitalist economies around the world, and by an enormous margin considering the devastation left by decades of corruption and rot. The efficiency was unrivaled, and while re-developing the country, intending to lead the world into a new form of Socialism by example, a fair deal of disposable funding was built up. Sure, the Soviet citizens were a bit miffed that resources were, once again, being spent on such frivolous things as more military development, but they knew all too well that even with those expenses they were better off that they ever could’ve been under the old regime.
The best part?
They stand in Red Square and yell “Ivan Ivanovich looks like a turnip!” and at most they’d get some police officer telling them to “stop being a disturbance” and to “please put your pants back on”.
Technology advanced, in no small part due to the president’s uncanny ability to seemingly always make the right suggestions to the state’s Research and Development teams.
A colossal aircraft carrier, the Apocalypse-class Apollyon, was launched. 915 meters long and displacing two million tonnes, secret techniques to build enormous displacements at comparatively minimal cost put the world’s largest rubber ducky (not literally) into the world’s waterways because Ivan said so.
Three beyond-state-of-the-art stealth fighter jets, the 124s, were spread around the country’s borders like mythical guardians, scaring off just about anything that could dare attack them. The only thing the F-22 has on them is numbers.
A program in partnership with the USA produced advanced robots in the form of the SAAR (Soviet And American Robot) series. SAAR-5, the crown jewel, somehow, somehow, became sentient. Because yes, apparently.
All of these things made the new Soviet Union, unofficially nicknamed the Soviet Unity, a leader in world conscious. People got a bit sick of it at times, pleading other to stop posting about the Soviet Union, because they were tired of seeing it. But still, it wouldn’t go away. It would never go away.
All of these things… weren’t enough for Ivan. He was just too silly. Silly goofy, even. Silly goofy wacky, perchance.
On the 21st of January 2028, the 104th anniversary of Lenin’s death, the mausoleum of the famed revolutionary was raided. The body was gone.
A year later, a shape was seen hovering above the Moscow skyline. Against the backdrop of the newly-come night, at 6:50 PM, wings were spread wide.
And Lenin was young once again.
Please don’t start fights over this. History is grey, and so is this man. Take it elsewhere.
This statue is non-functioning. It should be fully poseable, with some difficulty. Some joints are buried, such as in the feet, so you may have to peak inside parts. Always start at the end of a limb and work your way up. SimplePlanes is not a 3D modeling program, so it’s a miracle that even this is possible.
This is my first statue ever in this game, so I hope it’s up to standard. The head alone took me about four hours alone, with a few breaks throughout.

Apollyon is featured in my short story "Below the Abyss"
Anyone else actually listen to the whole song. It's pretty revolutionary.
Forgot to add this:
Features:
Metal wings
Nuclear power
Nuclear jet propulsion
Full sensor array
Strength capable of deadlifting approx. 500 kg
Deployable telescopic Sickle
Deployable folding rocket-assisted hammer (noted similarity to Tukuhue)
2 F.R.E.M.L.E. Nuclear beam weapons
Speed only exceeded by I. Ivanovich himself
Shiny forehead
Flying variant by Kerbango
Robo-Lenin's massive wings are heavy inspired by Murder Drones.
I should probably mention that the whole idea of the Apollyon is greatly inspired by this thing.
While obviously a different ship, it's the best approximation of the Apollyon on hand.
@Powderheimer He even has a boss theme!
lenin bossfight
@Kurizin okay cool I guess
@Graingy oh, it worked, Sorry for interruption
@Graingy well, somehow it doesnt work. I put it on a profile and nothing...

Big shot Putin
@VRCaPable Aight that's it.
Enemy of the people.
@Majakalona That thing was always more of an offhand.
Built that thing as a side-project when I noticed how the landing gear looked.
It was always supposed to be simple.
4 years can make quite the difference in quality
@TinyMaus Oh
right
@Graingy
YOU!!
@TinyMaus Who did it!?
He did it. That sonovagun actually did it.
@001 Yeah, what about it?
@Graingy, Murder Drones?
@Guywhobuildsstuff I didn’t get attention, Robo-Lenin did.
25!
23/1/24
@Graingy you’re still one lucky ass bastard that you got attention
Anyways
@Graingy yea
@NormalCv580enjoyer but there’s no body.
I am figured that if Lenin’s body was kept over a hundred years despite his wishes then it might as well be turned into a killer robot.
There’s nothing to use for a Robo-Stalin.
@Graingy yes stalin was piece of shit, but with robo stalin will be fun.
@TalonTheCRTguy damn thas crazy
@Graingy my printer leaks ink 😔
@TalonTheCRTguy Printers are bastard boxes
frikkers making alll sorts of weird sounds like mtfker tf are you doing you sound like you're dying just print the stupid text
@Graingy I already did that with a magnavox last year and oh god did it hurt but you gotta feel the pain of having a literal printer fall on your feet which I still gotta get rid of that printer lmao
@TalonTheCRTguy Cool.
By the end of it all, I will never truly understand this hobby of yours.
Just don't drop them on your feet..

@Yourlocalhuman
AND LENIN IS YOUNG ONCE AGAIN, AND THE YOUNG OCTOBER IS AHEAD!
AND THE BATTLE IS GOING ON AGAIN! AND THE FIRE IS ANOXIOUS AT HEART!
@Guywhobuildsstuff What conversation?
I probably had the idea beforehand.
See pinned comment third down.
Ain’t no way you made robo-Lenin after that one conversation we had lmaooo
@Randomplayer Thanks.
Hard to compare to previous work, however, as this is pretty without precedence for me.
@32 Stalin lookin' like a lil sussy baka
@TalonTheCRTguy You're crazy.
Insane, even.
20!
22/1/24
I see your building skills are getting better! Good job comrade.
One time at my work there was a quote from Lenin on the “quote of the day” board.
there’s a communist among us
I just moved my two crts next to eachother
@SILVERPANZER I'll take that as a yes!
@SILVERPANZER does this count as a tank?
I mean, it's an armed, armoured thing with mobility, soooo...
@EnglishGarden No, no, the voice of the people provides important input to avoid conflict with authority.
@Graingy oh sorry
@EnglishGarden Annnd right back to SP we fall.
Thanks. I really appreciate that. 😐
@Graingy this Lenin's head looks like an onion
@EnglishGarden complicated.
Ideal, in a certain form, though clearly the theories need a lot of reworking.
@Graingy what is your opinion on communism? (j)
@EnglishGarden Thank you comrade Graden
this is beautiful
10!
21-22/1/24
@DatTrainGuy19 mood
@NormalCv580enjoyer Lenin was a complex, very morally-grey figure.
Stalin was just a piece of shit.
Besides, Stalin’s body has been in the ground for decades.
No plans for Robo-Stalin.
(Also because making these is exhausting).
@Graingy oh, i seriously forgot to comment anything on that build, i want to actually rate the build but i was too lazy to do anything at that time so... i ended up just doing other stuff.
Will be also robo-Stalin?
@DatTrainGuy19 I mean, this is kinda unprecedented for me. It’s an entirely new type of creation, different to what I’ve made before.
Sort of.
The description is wrong, I have done statues/statuelikes before (The Giant Teletubby, Bob, Bob-o-copter, Obama, me), this is the first one I put serious effort into making 3D… well, the Teletubby, sure, but that was almost 6 years ago.
A better point of reference would be the SAN-74 “Candygram”. You upvoted it, but didn’t comment. Was that thing decent in your eyes?
@Graingy no problem martian sand, i can definitely tell that your building skills are improving!
@LunarEclipseSP Imma be real I only knew enough lyrics to write my bit so I’m gonna take your word on those working lol
@DatTrainGuy19 if it is then the mods are officially joyless.
And thanks.
@Graingy
"Oh how pretty
All this misery
This is warfare sacrifice"
.
"When the air blows through
with the army attack
The red soldiers make a counterattack!
And it's all ends,
We will not forget the
RED FLAG OVER LENINGRAD!"
@Graingy is this...
is this considered as politicial?
no, im serious, is this considered as politicial?
atleast... by the moderation team's standards?
Upvoted it anyways, also
ZAMN, GRAINGY DOES QUALITY BUILDS???
@LunarEclipseSP
“When the pay is low,
And the war is hot,
The workers rise,
Not be forgot!”
@SomeSPGuyWhoLikesLore Vladimir Denim?!?)
In rod block?!??
No wayy!
@Majakalona you gotta see this!
New robbox tow were!
New TDX tower leaked
@Graingy Hell yes! he fight with Jack Reagan
@LunarEclipseSP To be fought directly by Robo-Reagan, who’s very in-touch with his inner child labourer.
Their battle will be legendary.
@001 'Red Sun played in the background followed with two Mi-24 Hinds flying behind'
@LunarEclipseSP, SUNDOWNER MEME
and have a good day there pal
@Graingy always do, check it out
"LIKE I SAID! COMMUNISM ARE CRUEL! And i'm very touch with my inner child! AHHAHAHAHAHAAA!" - Robo-Lenin
@Graingy Super.
Sweet Googly Moogly!
@Monarchii Anyways, I'd love to stay and talk but I got things to do and urgently.
Have a good... day or whatever time it is in in dough knee zhah.
@Monarchii Go ahead.
(If I may ask, could you permalink to the comment? I'm a point whore and need all the publicity I can get)
@Monarchii I don't know how long I've been sitting on that one, but one this is for sure:
Lenin knew very quickly.
anyway, permission to put it in my bio?
@Graingy fair, Ivan does weird stuff stuff does weird Ivan, is good both ways.
@Graingy "hit himself at his lenis" I FWCKNG CANT- WHEEZE
@Majakalona You said you wanted to be tagged on my forum posts?
Well, considering the amount of reading to do with this thing is basically is one.
@Monarchii That's the point, comrade.
Is it practical?
No.
Did Ivan want it anyways?
Absolutely.
@Monarchii People say he died of brain hurty-stuff.
Wrong!
He hit himself in his lenis and died.
speaking of which, i can't help but whack myself of the narrative "915m long carrier" I KNOW ITS A STORY BUT- gets whacked
Holy hell you people are fast
truly, leeenin
