H-2 Harmattan

21.8k RetiredUser062  one year ago

The H-2 Harmattan was the first experimental high-altitude medium bomber designed by the Krakabloa air forces in the mid-1940s. The bomber that was based on the German JU-86 P included state of the art features such as two counter-rotating propeller engines that provided two new mini-rockets for the rapid ascent of the aircraft, which could also be used as war emergency power rockets in in case air threats are detected. It also had a well pressurized cabin for flights at high altitudes, which is what the H-2 Harmattan was designed for. The H-2 was the first aircraft to fly at high altitudes across the Simple Islands and had roles such as surgical bombing at high altitudes and reconnaissance flights in hostile skies. The H-2 Harmattan was planned to be mass produced but due to high production costs, not many H-2s were produced (total 126). The H-2 Harmattan would continue to serve Krakabloa air forces until 1954, where it would be replaced by faster and more efficient high-altitude jet aircraft.
