P-38J Lightning "Skidoo"

ATTENTION
The current version currently has a broken left rudder. Not sure if this is due to the 1.8 beta, an upload error, or just negligence on my part.
Fixed version
HERE

First of all, HUGE thanks to BogdanX, Chancey21, CoolPeach, CRJ900Pilot, DepressedTortoise, and Gravity for their help play testing, giving feedback, and giving pointers with XML editing. Honestly this thing would be an un-aerodynamic mess without their help. Check them all out.

This nearly 1:1 scale P-38J is my best design, and possibly my last for a long time. (Who knows though, I've said this before)

The Skidoo is the first thing I ever saw fly at an airshow, and I've been on SimplePlanes, and a path towards piloting and aero engineering ever since.

FEATURES:
- Accurate nose art and ID numbers, plus many, many more details
- Realistic flight performance (thanks again to all play testers)
- Working fowler flaps, combat flaps, turbocharger and other exhaust ports, and a passable cockpit interior

INSTRUCTIONS
VTOL Down: Fowler flaps
AG 1: Combat/dive flaps

MOBILE FRIENDLY VERSION

Try it on the WW2 torpedo bomber mission for some atmospheric flak flying

Yeah totally go ahead. I don’t have a ton of time lately so I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to check out the finished version but sounds interesting so far

Hi john. I was wondering if you would be interested in a prototype I’m planning to build using your B-17. If you check out most of my planes, you can see I’m not great at shaping but I love technical areas such as bomb bays and other interesting features. Where you come in is this- I want to use your B-17, and with pistons and a camera make it so you can actually ‘walk through’ the interior of the plane. I’d also like to make a more silvery paint job and add waist and turret guns similar to my Handley page Halifax. Once I finish I’d like you to see it because I think being able to tour the interior is the next logical step to such a beautiful plane- full inner and outer functionality. Here is a really quick test I threw together to see if it was possible. https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/Eq5kS6/Boeing-B-17-walkthrough-test
