Symetrical Wing Design

25.5k ALRX  7 days ago

Hello everybody! Yesterday I was design a wing a shape for my T-2 CCV when @Leahh suggested a symmetrical wing design. So this is the design that I have come up with!

Shaping

Wing Slant

Wing Thickness

T-2 CCV progress

No credit is needed, however if you do, than I would appreciate it alot. Anyways thats all guys. Thanks for reading! :D

    @CapWilliam Thanks!
    @Hedero Yes, I would agree with you. Its not really for fat wings, but still thanks!

    This technique works wonderful for your aircraft. It looks beautiful. But it would take some work to make it look good on something like a b-17. @ALRX

    @Hedero yes, as you can see, the T-2 CCV has very thin wings. However, by decreasing the percentage of the wing, you should be able to make it very flat.

    Its an incredible technique. It works better for thin wings. Although, when the aspect ratio is too high, the ailerons tend to be curved (which isn't realistic). Control surfaces are almost always perfect flat. That would be the only issue with this airfoil method.

    @BogdanX Yes, you are correct. This is just a simple guide for players who need help mainly.

    There is a problem with this concept. You get curved ailerons and flaps, while the real planes they have those completely flat.
