MC-760 Bridger

78.8k Zaychik  5 days ago

The MC-760 Bridger is a heavy-lift cargo aircraft originally conceived by the Fairweather Research and Development Team. However, the program was later transferred to Kingsley Dynamics, who redesigned the platform from a raw lift-focused airframe into a modular system capable of supporting multiple mission profiles.

Kingsley’s redesign emphasized adaptability, leading to a family of MC-760 variants tailored for specialized roles, including search and rescue, airborne command and control, Tactical Special Mission Lifter (TACSMIER) operations, aerial refueling, and even civilian logistics.

Each MC-760 variant carries a unique callsign or name reflecting its role:

• Bridger – Military heavy lifter variant (baseline), powered by four GPm 9B-2 turbofan engines
• Overcast – Airborne laboratory and surveillance configuration
• Kingsreach – VIP and Royal Family transport variant
• Hauler – Civilian cargo and utility model
• Dropstar – TACSMIER version for special operations insertion
• Holloway – Aerial refueling/tanker configuration

The MC-760’s first combat deployment was during Operation Longsword, a strategic support mission for the Eldorian Peacekeeping Army overseas. A total of 45 Bridger units launched from St. Herta Air Force Base, home of the 44th Heavy Transport Squadron, delivering critical supplies and equipment throughout the active conflict zone in continuous rotation.
Thank you GPT
