It's June, Le Mans month, and i wanted to celebrate it by creating the most controversial, crazy and GLORIOUS GT1 of all times, a car that went against all the rules and previously established schemes: the Esperante. I'm sure some of you already know this car from Gran Turismo games

The Panoz Esperante was, by far, one of the most wicked and rebel cars to ever form part of the GT1 group, with a bug-faced front, a 6.2L V8 derived from a NASCAR engine block that, while the rest of the GT1 grid sang european operas with Boxer-6 or V12 engines, the V8 of the Esperante screamed MURICA🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🦅🦅🦅 even more than the screech of a bald eagle, and its most controversial feature: its front engine-rear wheel drive layout. While all the other GT1 cars used mid engine-rear wheel drive layouts, the Esperante had its engine mounted in the front, where everyone said the engine shouldn't be.

Despite all odds, and not having the best luck during its debut year, the Esperante proved itself to be surprisingly competitive, specially in 1998 where one of the two Esperantes racing at Le Mans got the 7th place overall (while the other had to retire from the race)
