Thats one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
Welcome once again to the SimplePlanes Weekly, I’m your host, The Awsomur. There’s been a lot of interesting things happening this week, so let’s get rooooight into the news.
-Mod maker Nicky Pike, AKA: WNP78, has been made a developer of SimplePlanes, bringing the dev count to 6. This has added some new life to the game, as the next update will likely add much of what WNP has done in his mods, such as Overload, Advanced Targeting and Refueling. A huge congratulations to WNP and to all of us players.
-Destroyerz117 has reached 25,000 points and has been awarded platinum rank. Stargnoc for everyone here at the SPW! ...which is basically just me and my cat, but anyways....
Teaser of the Week:
Dllama4 is working on a pretty hott Eurofighter. Not clear what type of fighter exactly. Should be interesting to test out.
Video of the Week:
DustyT33 has a walker-type vehicle in development. It looks pretty impressive and agile from the video, but we’ll see whenever it’s completed.
Meme of the Week:
There weren’t many SimplePlanes memes this week, so enjoy an Area 51 meme before it dies.
I am not worthy to review this masterpeice.
A little Awsomur family history lesson; my grandfather actually operated tower cranes for many years, so he would always tell me about how they worked and how you operated them.
From that, I can tell you this is a very accurate recreation of a real crane. What stood out to me was the staircase running through the support beam. Very crucial, yet small detail. The targeting system is really ingenious; I’ve never seen anyone use a gun like that (that’s what she said amiright) The speed is just about perfect, maybe a little fast but it’s probably better that way. The best part is that anything you spawn will be underneath the boom, which makes this build not only cool looking but also very fun to use.
This is a really awesome build, and I highly recommend that you check it out. Minecraftpoweer now owns the top two most upvoted “Construction Equipment” builds, and I can’t wait until he makes the third.
Ever see a creation that catches your eye an lures you in like a python? Well this is certainly one of them. And it definitely lived up to the hype.
The Freedom is fast, maneuverable, armed to the teeth, has a helipad, has a flare gun cannon, is easy to control, looks great and has a little over 100 parts. It’s a good size, a little bit bigger than the Fletchers, and I was able to easily take out both destroyers and the Beast. With air-to-air defenses, this could certainly be a very dangerous MP vehicle. This is by far one of the best ships I’ve seen in awhile. Great work!
Sethdude has been on SimplePlanes for over three years, and he tries to make “inovative and cool stuff.” This is certainly both of those.
The plane has a very unique shape, with triple-stacked propellers and froward sweet wings (reminds me of something...). Those three-propellers also give the plane incredible speed and agility. The wing guns have a little bit of bulk to them, making the, stand out and give the wings a nice accent. The landing gear placement is a little funky, but to each his own. Overall, this plane is lightning quick, looks interesting, and has enough firepower to get you by.
Innovative and Cool
That’s all for this week’s edition of the SimplePlanes Weekly. Happy flying!
