I present to you the ARNV Something Wicked This Way Comes of the Grand Navy of the Republic of Aurum, CVN-05. She is the second vessel in the Abraham Van Helsing-class of nulcear-powered aircraft carriers.

I decided I was not satisfied with the original Helsing-class and decided it needed to be bigger: 345m in length as opposed to just 330m, and 120,000 tons displacement as opposed to 105,000 tons. The new Helsing is also far more advanced but I won't get into that now. As you can see, of course, the ship is far from complete and while she sits at just 1,765 parts, I can assure you that number will be much greater when I am finished, and not even willingly either.

This is, I believe, the first time I have actually made a ship in SimplePlanes that is not the namesake of the class, and yes, the name is indeed a reference to the novel by Ray Bradbury, which I have myself read. For anyone who hasn't read it I do recommend it, it's quite excellent. The references, though, don't stop at the name, for her captain is to be a fictional character renowned for his service in the Grand Navy of the Republic, a certain Garrett Marcus Dark, although canonically it would be pure coincidence that he would end up in command of Something Wicked This Way Comes. On top of this, the ship's motto is "The Carnival Is In Town".

And one more thing: for anyone who is in either of the SPRPs I participate in, no I am not exporting these carriers and I won't change my mind. And there will be no exceptions to that.
