The demo's been absolute chaos (sometimes too much!) and we're loving seeing you all finally in this little world we've made. With only 5 days left, we want to see you capture that magic.
Since build mode is locked, we're challenging you to tell a story with what you've got, and since time is of the essence, let's keep it Short.
The deal is pretty simple: Make a short form clip from your best SP2 Demo moments, without using AI, and share it on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok or BiliBili. Then send the links to the video to contest@jundroo.com with the exact subject "SP2 Demo Shortform Contest". If it went up in multiple platforms, please put it all together in one email, and don't submit videos if you are not the author!
The dev team will watch all your videos and choose a winner, that will get $150 either as a Steam Gift or through PayPal, your choice. If more than 25 people participate in the contest we will add two more prizes of $100 and $50. All the winners will also get access to the Playtest of the full game.
The last day to submit your videos will be November 10th, don't leave it for the last second!

@apfj good point. @AndrewGarrison have you guys considered selling the apk on Simpleplanes.com itself? Or is there some kind of a restriction from IPhone and Android? I'm asking because other websites have done this and if you were able, you could potentially see a larger profit from each sale. And since I'm on the topic, what about the pc/mac versions?
@m128m adding mod support for mobile would mean not selling the game on google play and the app store, those stores dont like moddable games

@BlackHoleOfDarkness you can bring sp1 saves over to sp2 by downloading craft files from the website or by manually moving craft xml files over

Will SP1 saves carry over to SP2, or will there be any method of doing that?
Can SP2 add an alter set of control for ground vehicle？I use trigger for throttle in forza and some other race game ，but in SP is troublesome to edit a control that suitable for both aircraft and ground vehicle，add a function to save mutiple control scheme maybe helpful
@Pedro I couldn't figure out how to change the aspect ration. Wish I could have though but I'm happy I did the more complicated method because I never would have thought to add music. And I'm REALLY happy with how it turned out.
@StockPlanesRemastered actually in PC it is also really easy, all you have to do is make the video short (under 3 minutes) and tall (either 1:1 aspect ratio or higher, so between square and vertical)

A little Tidbit: To make a youtube video a short the easiest way is to do it from your phone.
-To get the video on your phone typically you want to plug your phone into your pc but if like me your phone only charges, you can email yourself and attach the mp4, download it and go from there. Youtube makes it pretty easy to do the rest. you can even use it to crop the time down to a minute and add music, even down to a specific part of the song you want.
