Your commitment and love for SimplePlanes never cease to inspire us! We see it in every comment, every discussion, and we can't thank you enough. We would love to keep releasing endless free updates for SimplePlanes, but we haven't for a while now. Why is that? We've been busy on multiple projects as you know and we've also started on our next major project. Sadly, this means that SP updates will continue to be on pause for the foreseeable future, though we will roll out updates to fix critical bugs if necessary.
You might ask "is the next major project SimplePlanes 2?" Great question! That's a very strong contender, but there are other project ideas that we are very excited about as well. Part of the team has been focusing on research and development and rest assured that once we have something more substantial to share you can expect more frequent updates from us.
While we understand that this may not be the news you were hoping for, we're really excited about the next chapter and we hope you'll share our enthusiasm. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and as always, thanks for playing!
Wait!
There seems to be some confusion about the meaning of this post, so before you comment read this quick rundown of the key points:
Stop Doing A Lot Sales?
@cdeem2011 stop copycat you zeet I will
succ
when can i change the "base lenght" of the heli rotor, the distance of mid spining wheel to the propellers
It's a pity, but all things have to come to an end. Plus, as an Unity game, SP is pretty moddable,and games like Doom show how long modding can keep a community alive.
If simpleplanes 2 gets released does ithave tracks on it and other new stuff
If you consider how many years SP has been around for, then you might find it already surpassed many other games in terms of development. SP is not dependent on an active server except for the forum, so players may continue. For any computer software, the development cycle needs to come to an end. Especially, working on ancient architecture is far less efficient than making something newer and better. That appears to be same between MSFS 2020 and 2024. So, I am optimistic about the project anyways.
@WNP78 dude, I’ve been playing for years. You can’t take this away from me man. You can’t give up. I’m not really happy for you guys giving up on my favorite game. There’s so much (sorry) damn bugs on mobile. Ya’ll can’t leave us. What the (sorry) hell?
I'm worried about the future of this game and Juno, not because of lack of updates but because of the whole unity charging per downloads thing
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
@32 And free Abrams
@WaltySimplePlanes69 Thanks bro
Yes please totally disregard the pinned comment and all of your development plans and please add 12 new sandbox maps, multiplayer, and iOS and Nintendo Switch mod support. Thank you for your time and consideration.
@cdeem2011 That would be cool to make, but also very time-consuming, so maybe that will be in Simpleplanes 2.
@Philip1214 it's called canopy
I don't need anything just make the engine more customisable. That Ghrrrrrrrrr sound is very frustrating.
And not just aircraft, but all your precious subassemblies also need iClouding!
Please add multiplayer please add sandbox maps

Can we talk about the fact that the sound on the cockpit is muffled even tho you already opened the cockpit door or hatch (i dunno what's it's called)👁️👄👁️
One more request. Can you add the details that are in Juno, but not in Simple Planes? Well... or make an editor in Juno like in Simple Planes.
