AVANTA AV-40 Starhawk is an aircraft produced by Avanta for the medium and short-haul aircraft market which has similar characteristics to other companies.

History

The Starhawk was introduced to the market in 1980, being a revolution for transboskian aviation since it was the first aircraft of these capabilities and characteristics.

Aerodynamic problems

The Starhawk had a big problem related to the location of the engines since they were very low, which meant that when accelerating them to the maximum for takeoff, the nose of the plane would rise up, being a serious problem for the structural integrity.

but a simple and profitable option was reached which is the installation of canards that greatly reduced the problem of takeoff, in addition it also helps landings.
