Norden C.100 Lightning
The Aircraft
The C.100 is a high speed fighter created in late 1943, made especially for Cupid 2 to test under combat, it was designed with speed and maneuverability in mind, which means the C.100 has no armor at all. It is armed with a single 20 mm cannon inside it’s nose with HE rounds to save weight.
When Lightning received the C.100, he painted it with a fitting racing paint job, making his fighter very easy to recognize from distance and putting fear into enemy pilots when they saw the pair of bright yellow planes rapidly approaching.
The Squadron
Cupid 1, a.k.a Sophie “Spike” Davenport hides her anger behind a cold, calculating persona, meanwhile Cupid 2, aka Alvin “Lightning” Davenport is Spike’s younger brother, being impulsive and aggressive.
On the 23 of February of 1944, when a squadron of Dieswen interceptors intercepted Iosian bombers, Iosian reinforcements were sent, and when they arrived Dieswen reinforcements were also sent, and this kept happening until a giant furball of Dieswen and Iosian fighters formed, which only meant aces to shoot down, and thats when Cupid squadron was deployed, to shoot down as many Dieswen aces as possible. When they arrived at the battle, they got a few kills when enemy pilots tried to shoot them down, until they finally spotted an ace, Hans Weber, one Dieswen’s top scoring aces with his unmistakable flashy paint job, and then set chase. Spike and Lightning attacked him at the same time, wrecking Weber’s plane and forcing him to bail out, Spike turned around to shoot the parachute of Hans but was pummeled with bullets of the Black Angel of Death, Thaddäus Böhnisch, who watched the twins shoot down Weber and dived into Spike to rescue him, because he knew what the infamous twins did to shot down aces. Spike was severely injured and her plane was pretty torn up, she tried to bail out but her canopy was stuck, so Lighting had to watch as his sister plummeted towards the ground, sending into a rage which only got him shot down. Lightning quickly ran out of ammo as he started firing in long bursts and then tried to ram Böhnisch, who managed to get a shot into his engine, knocking it out, but Lightning still tried to fight, so the Black Angel of Death finished him off by shooting and destroying his right wing. Lightning refused to bail out and went down with his plane.

Damn, I didn’t expect to receive such a high score, even though they are very outdated designs by now, building this and the Spike was very fun, thanks for the challenge! @LegnaK
Handling, stability, agility: 10 points :: 9/10 one main issue is the nose point up and struggling to give level flight, otherwise, she's an amazing aircraft!
Realistic model and behavior: 10 points ::. 10/10 Looks and feels like a 1943's warbird should, she's a very realistic build which portrays a nice marriage of a speedy aircraft and something with power.
Details, paint and other: 10 points :: 6 Paint is bland, not enough markings (my buddys words) though I feel like I also agree with the 6/10 being the colors being a rather bright signal, knowing that it was deliberate does help ease some points, but in a wartime position it feels like a risk
Build quality: 10 points ::10/10 Build quality is amazing, love the rounded edges and no weird blocky angles. (again my buddys words) I feel like this aircrafts sleek design and amazing shape does make it feel like a build with a ton of love put into it.
Personal impression: 10 points :: 9.5 Flies like a dream, only complaint is no bombs (again my buddys words)
Description: 10 points :: 8 Felt pretty good (again my buddys words) I however would like to bump this up to a 10 because of the amount of detail into the aircraft's history and such!
Overall: 54.5/60
Thank you! @DragoransEscarti
The description of this plane should receive:
Yes/10
Thanks! @HijukiTheSTUKApilot
ITS A MASTERPIECE
Bingo! It really is, at first I tried to make it look a lot more like the Shoki, but after I made the bubble canopy (which i’m really bad at making) people thought it was a P-47, so I just rolled with it. And also thank for the compliment! @Bobyo
Something here tells me it's based off of a legendary aircraft. Your C.43 Spike, I can just tell it's based off of the Ki-44. And that's what I like about the aircraft you make. They are based off of some random aircraft, and made better. Now I'm not sure you tried to base it off things but hey, it looks like it.
