Hawker Hurricane

26.8k RASEN1914  7.6 years ago

100% Historically EXACT replica of the Hawker Hurricane Mk. IIc, a british multirole fighter of the WW2.

|| Read instructions below ||

One of the most charismatic fighters of the WW2 the hawker hurricane was the main fighter in the Battle of britain and served in all the major theaters of the war. The Hurricane versions and adaptations result in a numerous series of aircraft which acted as fighters, intruders, interceptors, bombers, ground-attackers...

This version is the Mk. IIc, also known as the "Hurribomber", it is loaded with two 250lb bombs and four 20mm Hispano Mk.II cannons (perfectly replicated, it shoots like the real one).

Also, the paint job is historically exact and replicates the schemes of the 3rd RAF squadron.

Enjoy this charismatic plane!!

Instructions

- Press 1 to activate the navigation lights.
- Press 2 to activate the night lights, also used in the WW2 for blind the objectives during the attacks.
- Press 3 to launch the bombs simultaneusly, like the real Hurricane.
- Takeoff speed is 140-150 mph aprox.
- Landing speed is 120-130 mph aprox.
- When you carry the bombs the plane can be a bit hard to fly, keep an eye on the altitude.
- The autopilot is unstable at low altitude and low speeds, it's "safe" to use at <10.000ft.
- Do not turn fast at maximum speed (340mph), the plane could enter in spin.

I like it! The Hawker Hurricane is my favorite WW2 aircraft, I’m glad someone made a good replica.

Nearly impossible to land though. The second it touches down it goes into a loop-de-loop, ending with it on its back... also stalls when you try to slow down to land.

@RandyAndSonsAircraft Yes... i hope that there will be a painting utility for the planes... it's pretty bad to make a camo putting parts on the plane...

The only problem i have is that almost all camo plane i see have either some bumping sound issue, or clipping parts that are really an eyesore. (Not saying its bad, just sometimes camo looks pretty bad)

@BogdanX I think you can get up to 80% exact in shape. Functionality, performance, and detail wise are impossible to even get close to the real thing. My hawker is probably 1% exact XD
