Speeds & Altitudes

  • 130-150 mph | Rotation speed
  • 100 mph | Stall speed
  • 200-400 mph | Average speed
  • 4,000 ft | Long final altitude
  • 7,000 - 10,000 ft | Average cruise altitude when island hopping in the SimplePlanes map
  • 30,000 - 37,000 ft | Average cruise altitude in reality

How to fly

Startup (recommended in camera 1-3 view)

  • VTOL up (parking brake on)
  • Activate 1, and wait until all the dials have stopped rotating
  • Repeat, until 1-4 are on.
  • Activate 7
  • Activate 6 (do this in camera 3), and wait until the hydraulic pressure stops increasing.
  • VTOL to middle

Takeoff

  • Set trim to about 1/8 a notch down
  • Full throttle
  • Rotate at the rotation speed
  • AG 8 off, and gear up
  • Level off at cruising altitude
  • Cruise power is 90%

Approach & Landing

  • 60% throttle once under 5,000 ft
  • 50% and AG 5 when under 4,000 ft
  • On short final, gear down, and AG 8
  • 'Flare' the nose on touchdown, and full brakes
  • Deactivate 5 once under 30 mph (remember to stop braking before deactivating it)
  • You need 0% power to taxi, because the engines are slightly running (my 2-engines in an engine innovation)
  • Make sure you stop first before applying parking brake because it will break off
  • Deactivate 1-4, and 8
  • Deactivate 6, and then 7
