DUE: February 20!
Hey guys!
This will be more of a "Replication" Challenge. You need to design and build an FPV Drone for this challenge. If you need help with motor control and gyro control, you can use the piece on the left, which is for gyro control, and right, for motor speed. Ok, now on to what an "FPV Drone" is.
What an FPV Drones is?
An FPV Drone is toy designed to go fast (usually above 60mph for 5" Quads). The Difference between normal drones and FPV drones is that with normal drones, t's like sitting in the back seat of a limo.Meanwhile FPV drones are like driving a stripped-down rally car. So, you have heard enough, now time for the Rules:

- Your post must be an FPV Drone.
- Must be a successor or it will not be qualified.
- It must be able to fly!
Grading:

How well does it fly? (10 points)
How well does it look? (30 points)
Is your build realistic? (20 points)
Is it based off an actual drone? (10 points)
Do the parts look realistic? (20 points)
Is there a in-game UI that works? (10 points)
+5 Points if you make the Nazgul 5! (Drone that is on first image on post)
+10 Points if you can add FPV Goggles and an RC Controller!

@JustWingIt That is absolutely genius! That is so impressive that you were able to do that, and man that was a close call!!
@JustWingIt it’s fine. Was a bit ago, but i had a faulty RX and i forgot to turn off the props before i ran it. When i armed it, immediately flew into my leg, then the wall. Luckily i had usb plugged in so i was able to save the battery and the esc in time , but the motors were dead. They still do spin but will low friction now and the coils are white-ish. FC fried when i first put on 1206 motors, as the battery wire from esc slipped and touched a contact on the FC, causing sparks. Esc and motors are ok though!
@o2o I've fried motors and fcs too. Motors suck, but frying an fc is even worse. What happened to fry them though? Also, sorry about your leg.
@JustWingIt yeah, seriously man! To make you feel better, i cut up my leg, and fried 4 1103 motors which costed me 40$, and a 40$ fc. Rn im working on a 3” 3-4s race drone with toka 1206, and a noxe f4 fc with 25-30a esc.
@o2o I think im gonna work on my SP babyhawk before my real one-
@o2o A couple weeks ago I lost signal on my babyhawk while flying. It dropped out of the air, skidded aross the whole road, then went right into the storm drain. I had to pry open the manhole to get it out, and then it was soaked so I tried to dry it out. Unfortunately, the VTX antenna connector broke while I was trying to dry it and the camera got water in it damaging the image sensor a little bit. Ended up buying a Runcam Pheonix 2 SE camera, rush tank mini vtx, and a micro axii 2 antenna to fix it. Soldered it all in and it worked great for a bit. The other day I crashed a little bit and a tree snagged my antenna, literally breaking the MMCX antenna socket off of the VTX. I can't solder it back on, so I have to get a whole new vtx for the second time. FPV sucks sometimes.

@o2o Just wanted to let you know that I won't be participating in this challenge. I'll still try to make the babyhawk, but I don't want to stress myself with it and I don't want to steal upvotes from someone else. (I don't even have enough creations to upvote)
@JustWingIt WAIT! Use steamunlocked! It might work for chromebook, and its preinstalled so that might help alot. If you need an unblocked browser to download it because the website is blocked, just ask me m8. I can get opera for u and link it up to icloud, where you can manually copy the link and download it.
@JustWingIt hey im trying to work on downloading SP to a Linux os (aka chromebook) so you can use sp on ur laptop. Any way to download SP from steam as linux onto an sd card, or do you need a linux os?
