Steam Frigate "Samara"
19.7k DerVito
3.5 years ago
Fictional steam frigate of the Russian Empire from 1860-1870's, named after my hometown.
CONTROLS:
VTOL UP — Throttle
Yaw — Yaw
Roll + Pitch — Front 60-lb turnable cannon
TRIM — Side 60-lb cannons elevation
NOTE:
If you are using Ocean Mode, after loading the level, you should wait about a minute until the ship stops "jumping". You can also slightly and smoothly change the height of the waves.
SPECIAL THANKS TO:
EternalDarkness for the helpful advices.
SOME BEAUTIFUL SCREENSHOTS:
Features:
• Mobile Friendly. Yes, even though there are 2038 parts here, but my 2018 OnePlus 6 with Snapdragon 845 for € 300 runs this model at 55-60 fps without any problems.
• Working compass.
Enjoy, upvote if you like it, and see you later ;)

@Suubk27
@JS01
no, I could not use this mechanism, cuz I have muzzle-loading cannons
@DerVito ah i see
i thought youre going to use the reloading mechanism but yeah this is also nice
great build
@JS01
I use your code for the front turnable cannon.
Nice its time to whack some pirates
@DerVito
ok then
@Tookan
yes, I know about his frigate. But I didn't even look at him when I did mine. And in my opinion, the absence of at least some similarities is perfectly visible
@DerVito
this one?
@DerVito
you know, EternalDarkeness's Obsidian Steam Frigate? The one with paddles?
@Tookan lol what
yo nice hope this not fried my PC haha
Very cool build! Love all the details
Also wait where did you use my code on?
I can't find any of them but still
Nice one
@DerVito oh
@RandomUser09 yes, I use Gtranslate, but only for long and complex sentences
@DerVito cuz you are Soviet and I thought you might use Google translate.
Beautiful ! I love it ! I just think there are one or two things that can be easily improved. I don't like the steam effect, I think it's even better with nothing, the boat is boucing a bit too much, I think you just need to add buoyancy only on 2 or 3 parts, not more. I also noticed the engine toggles off regularly on big waves, I think you can fix it just by editing the propeller. Other than that it's one of the best ship on the site, congrats !
@RandomUser09
why do you ask?
@DerVito good.
@RandomUser09
i'm learning to speak english..
@DerVito can you speak English?
@SpaceSpaceTheNerd yes.
Absolutely amazing! Keep up the good work.
Sweet! Awesome job
@EternalDarkness
honestly seems reminiscent of your Obsidian steam frigate
