@SkiClad from what I understand, it's like this:
the server calculates drag and physics of all Players parts on the server...
the more Drag and physics to calculate, the more lag...
unless you XML Part calculateDrag false, so the game doesn't calculate the physics, than it doesn't matter what's the part count...
