The next Sky Cup tournament will be on the Lunar Arc for the Mod Class, which means all engines are allowed and XML modding is allowed. The Lunar Arc level is only available in the Steam version and it is purely diabolical. You start out facing 90 degrees upwards with a starting speed of 0mph. You must build a plane that can accelerate insanely fast without falling downwards and stalling.
Tournament Details
- Course: Lunar Arc
- Class: Mod
- Max Part Count: 150
- Max Length: 20 meters (65.6 ft)
- Max Wingspan: 20 meters (65.6 ft)
- Max Height: 10 meters (32.8 ft)
- Must be an original (ie - not a predecessor of another player's plane)
- No weapons!
- Activation Group 8 will never turn on
- Max time limit: 3 minutes

@GrumpyRacing exactly, in the tourney before this one, I was second to enter, and was at the top of the brackets, the week before, I signed up Saturday, and was consequently at the very end.
@Supercraft888 I'm pretty sure it's set up based on when you entered the tournament. I raced against the people I was around when I first entered (listing on the right). After a certain number (128?) of entries then the bottom of the list gets split up and has to do the extra rounds that get split into the rest of the bracket.

Yeah but not alphabetically! It should be arranges by a RNG, everyone who competes gets a random number, and the RNG decides who goes against who by pairing up random runners with other random numbers, then the competition plays out as normal.
I have only ever one once, and Inthink there is enough randomness in the comp. that anyone can win!!! @Supercraft888

Lol of coarse I go against spiritus raptor! That's twice now!
@DanAviation It's absolutely possible to crash on this when you come out of the dive @ 2,200 mph+, but it's usualy due to wing-loading not collision. That's where I had to tone the plane down, it also was getting ring misses at that speed.
