this entire escapade started about a month ago when I hollowed out the turret on the Mk.V Megumin as a minor 1.9 update for the tank, as well as trying out interior for the first time after 2 years.
It may look similar but I did quite alot of change to the mantlet and the cheeks
But things got out of hand and the newly designed turret, although just a minor change, made no sense at all to the current hull (the driver don't fit inside and looked weird af because the turret is lengthened). I went around and made a new hull to mate with the new turret, and the end result made no sense to the new turret I just made (looked very stupid af, intolerable). Feeling angry because I practically wasted about half a month with the turret, I decided to ditch the turret for now and focus on the hull instead.
I think this is the third iteration of the hull thanks to the driver's hatch and vision ports. Thank you driver, very cool!
The suspension system is brand new, and works better than the older one with plans for tracks to be added after the drive sprocket is finished.
Compensating idler wheel, might be the first ever in the game, as well as the new suspension. Video in action will be uploaded. Return rollers and drive sprocket is next after drive compartment.
This tank features the compensating idler wheel, which is something I've yet to see on any tank builds in SP. Researching about the idler wheel is pretty exciting because I didn't know the actual name at the first time. The driver's compartment is something that made my head hurts because of space issue that requires me to move everything to the back to fit the driver, scrapping all the seat and hatch mechanism that I already made, and would probably become problem when designing the turret.
Tank man. Deidara provided me the person, but the person is ugli, not chadlike, and has weak chin. Not epico. So I redid the head and the helmet (I haven't added the mouthpiece yet in this picture) . I might even redo the entire body because it has weird curves and I think it can be done for way less parts (it has around 200 parts, not including the 200 parts sidearm Nirvash provided me with)
Currently, the plan is to finish the driver's compartment (seat, T handle, hatches, miscellaneous items, as well as emulating sense of motion to the driver), before finishing the tracks before going to the engine bay and redo them to give space to the turret as the turret ring is now more to the back, before doing final detail works on the hull and proceed to the turret. Unfortunately, this is the last day I'll be able to work on the tank full time (I usually spend like idk maybe 9-10 hours a day which is very unhealthy but I got nothing better to do as I can't continue model building yet and it'll go down to around 2 hours in school day) as school is starting in 2 days and now I have to finish all the homework before school starts, and I won't be able to work as much.
idk, filler images
