I mostly make heli's and most of them are modeled after real ones but I don't use their real names because mine aren't as nice and don't work as well. I also do occasionally help others with their planes if I see it.
I also am thinking about giving a proper name to my creations instead of naming them "Finished _ ___ (number)" like I usually do
