It's been over 1.5 years since I've uploaded one of these things. The original version of this UMP was actually uploaded nearly 2.5 years ago from my 7-year-old iPad. Surprisingly, I found that the gun that I built years ago was still pretty good by my current building standards. I decided to fix it up a bit, and here it is.
UMP stands for Universale Maschinenpistole or "Universal Submachine Gun". It was designed in 1990s as a cheaper, lighter version of the MP5 and has been in service since 1999. The version I made has a 25 round magazine.
The UMP is a blowback operated, magazine-fed, closed bolt fired submachine gun. It was designed to fire .45 ACP, .40 S&W, and 9mm Parabellum. The different firing modes are safe, two round burst, and fully automatic. It has a picatinny rail for mounting accessories and optics.
This is not a working firearm.
