XM-256 Neptune Block I HLRASM/SLAM
This is a static model, it does not function. A functional version of the model will eventually be built. A full description will eventually come as well.
The XM-256 Neptune shown here includes the rocket booster module.
The XM-256 Neptune Block I Nuclear-powered High-Speed Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile / Standoff Land-Attack Missile is about the size of a Tomahawk missile, it also carries a 1000 pound warhead, similarly to the Tomahawk. It has multiple flight modes, including sea-skimming, ballistic trajectory, and high-altitude cruise with a terminal steep-angle dive. It is also capable of both supersonic and hypersonic speeds, and a typical flight mode includes the missile slowing to supersonic speeds as it nears its target to allow for complex and random maneuvering, and then when it has reached a range where the target's defenses are unable to kill the missile, it goes full throttle to maximize its kinetic energy. (Desc. will be completed later)
The conventional variant has a maximum range of 350 nautical miles.
The Neptune only costs 1.2 million per missile.
