@Notaleopard it looks like an f104, cut in half and with the wing raised above the plane

this poor f104 was born without the lower half of his body
yet we still see him trying to survive

@Notaleopard I presume, not very safe, especially because the main wing is attached to the vertical stabilizer, and if you're going at speeds of over 1,500mph, I doubt it would end very well...

It;'s an interesting design. I like the engine glow. Maybe canards could help with the stability? Especially if they had a touch of dihedral to counterbalance the main wing. But it is a fun plane.

@Notaleopard This specific design looks like it's not quite sure what it wants to do, since high-mounted wings are for increased stability around the roll axis while anhedral wings reduce stability. This design would make more sense if the wings were dihedral (angled upwards).

With a dihedral wing, when you bank in one direction, the wing on that side becomes more parallel to the ground, thus increasing lift on that side, while the wing on the other side becomes even more angled with respect to the ground, losing lift. This causes the plane to tend to roll back into wings-level position. So dihedral wings are used on aircraft where roll stability is desired, and are mounted high on the fuselage.

Anhedral wings have exactly the opposite effect, and so are used when you want to reduce roll stability. They're typically mounted low on the fuselage.
