JTS8

76.8k randomusername  7 months ago

This is my latest jet, code name JTS8, but it has no nickname. This jet was designed around being undetected as well as aerodynamic. While it carries no missiles, it is superior in the sky as long as the pilot knows what to do.

Please use physics high.

And sorry, I had to use the DesignerSuite for the images to work.
.

Stats:

  • 10.5 glide ratio.
  • Weighs more than the F-22.
  • Consumes no fuel, that causes the range to be infinite.
  • Able to pull 30G's during an over maneuver at 20~30 degrees angle of attack.
  • 12G's during the aircraft's top speed with group eight deactivated.
  • Can reach MACH 2.1 at a cruising altitude of 15,000ft (Electric engine+height=🚫)
    .

    Armament:

  • Contains 500 flares (This is actually a weapon, but it does remove the lock of a missile should it be bothering you for too long)

  • Has a rapid-fire 30mm gun.
    .

    Misc:

  • Contains unlimited smoke that can be activated by pressing the fire rocket button.

  • The engines create stability when active, this may cause the jet to pitch down a bit, or increase the angle of attack too much if the engines are not at full VTOL.

    Controls:

  • Act-1 for "stealth" (Tip, the slower you go, the better)

  • Act-8 for more acceleration and maneuverability.
  • Deactivate 8 for more stability and higher speeds.
  • VTOL for engines, half for torque.

    See you in the skies!

And check out JTS9 too for more.

Perhaps, a name for it. Maybe... "Silent Assasin?" idk, just a suggestion.

@randomusername the physics was on high. I think I know the problem now though. I was just going too crazy with the maneuvering and VTOL. Not too sure what's with the dance still though.

    Perhaps use physics high, @DanDaFreakinMan.

Oh my lord I cannot fly this thing forward, only backward! The "stealth" mode just turn the jet into that parrot dancing meme!

I haven't even heard of Ace Combat Seven, so no, @Parshainaerospace.

Did you get the idea for the jammer by ace combat seven

also: it can be used as a submarine. you have created the monster of aircraft.

this plane is unstable yet it doesnt require mods. i dont understand this. you are a mastermind. seriously. also: i managed to fly it backwards lol

This thing makes even Mihaly Dumitru Margareta Corneliu Leopold Blanca Karol Aeon Ignatius Raphael Maria Niketas A. Shilage’s post stall maneuvers look like nothing! Flying backwards? I’m sure he’d love this plane.

"Group 1 for functional radar jammer"
How did you even do that?

Tried to land. Resulted in the entire plane flying backwards (like, flying backwards). Did not stall

    @randomusername could you make a sr71 with radar jammers? Or a A12?

No, @Alta2809 Rotator based props are just able to do that.

Generally it doesn't really affect me, because custom landing gear is a thing. I'm just thinking that this will be the answer from the rest of the community, some of them might even leave. @Genterprizes

Hey guys just got an email from mr. garrison saying there will not be procedural landing gear in simpleplanes

It’s pretty flexible... goes underwater, and flies right back out lol

Okay thank you, I recommend you also just build out the actual engine so I can attach it to JTS8 and see what happens now.

I am building the engine testbed, please wait about 30 minutes. @ThatOneF15Eagle

However the only problem with that is when I push the throttle to 100% the plane just freaks out and gets warped into a black hole. 30% and below works fine. So can you please tell me the exact rates that the piston moves in (speed and range) so I can see what happens?

Ah yes, the brake thrusters, I remember those. Sadly I don't have subs for reverse power ABs, though I might try doing what you did. However, I might try doing that and see what happens. Thanks for the idea anyways!

Not quite. @ThatOneF15Eagle I could just tell you what the idea is.
Airbrakes slow the craft down, reverse airbrakes speed it up. If there are two airbrakes both equal in power, the system is balanced, but if you connect one airbrake that has a reverse input and move it using a cycling piston, it gathers speed. That piston can have any input.
    .
When disabled, the engine produces no thrust. When enabled, it can move Godzilla.
