In a parallel universe somewhen: His Majesty’s Aircraft “Patient Listener” flying boat provides the capability of detecting enemy transmissions both at low altitude low speed and at extreme high altitude high speed thanks to its array of wire and yagi antennae, innovative engine systems and pressurized crew compartment. The craft has a crew of eight: pilot, co-pilot, navigator, four specialist radio operators to detect and decode transmissions and a rear observer/engineer who operates the equipment for cabin pressurization. For take off and low altitude operation, apply full throttle and at 100mph pitch up: unstick is at 107mph. For high speed high altitude operation: once airborne, activate booster engines (AG1) and adjust pitch by moving the jet units up and down (VTOL slider) and if desired at this point, idle the propellor engines (throttle down momentarily, AG8 off then throttle up and readjust pitch). The craft is capable of flying at over 90,000ft on its mission. For descent to low altitude, pitch forward at full power (VTOL slider) and once the craft has descended to 40,000ft, restart propellor engines and power down boosters (AG8 on, AG1 off). Landing lights are fitted (AG2). As always, messages welcome!
