The MD-11 is a medium- to long-range widebody airliner, with two engines mounted on underwing pylons and a third engine at the base of the vertical stabilizer. It is based on the DC-10, but features a stretched fuselage, increased wingspan with winglets, refined airfoils on the wing and tailplane, new engines and increased use of composites.The winglets are credited with improving fuel efficiency by about 2.5%.The MD-11 has a smaller empennage than the DC-10 it is based upon.

Features:

    It’s a shame that the Mega Deaths don’t fly anymore.

    @CDRxavier it runs on high-bypass turbofans. And IMO Apple is the worst. Danke for the upvote

    @Blue0Bull
    Mc Douglas was commented to be the safest plane just because of its design (it can fly with any of the wing engines down, and having both wing engines offline just make it easier to stall-the third engine at the rear is at the center of the plane anyway, and so if that one is down you just fly with the wing ones)
    Does it run on Turbojet or Turbofan? I am just curious.
    Apple don't suck. Don't say that. People just are not used to it (HINT: Apple and Windows is written in C++, but their philosophy is half a world apart)

    I used to live right on one of the Amsterdam Schiphol approaches back when these still flew with KLM. They were my favourite to watch by far

    To do simple dihedral, you can select a wing part which is at the base of the wing, use multi select with fine tuner and select that part first, then select every single other part in the wing. Then rotate it to the desired dihedral! I used that technique on my Beaver and my Lightweight. It works really well. @Blue0Bull

    @jamesPLANESii it was my first time making these types of wings, I will try to do that on my next Airliner. Thanks!

    This is really good!
    I have one issue with it though: why don't the wings have any dihedral?
