"Slow Cobra Maneuver" Through Bridge:

Flat Spin:

Firing Missiles:

Overview: the E210 "Nightswift" is a stealth air-superiority fighter jet. The aircraft features thrust vectoring control, as well as canards and an artificial stability system, all of which allow the aircraft to perform advanced high-alpha maneuvers. The aircraft also features 10 ASM-1 rapid-fire missiles, each of which has a maximum targeting range of 15 miles (24 kilometers), stored in an internal weapons bay.

FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS

Maximum Airspeed (TAS): 950mph, 1529kph, 826knots.
Maximum Mach Speed: Mach 1.4.
Maximum Altitude: 60,000ft, 18,288m.
Takeoff Airspeed (IAS)(Full Load)(50% Power): ~180mph, ~290kph, ~156knots. Use canard control for takeoff.
Landing Airspeed (IAS)(Full Load): ~175mph, ~282kph, ~152knots.
Controls:

  • VTOL: None.
  • Trim: Trim.
  • Activate1: Engine Activation.
  • Activate2: Thrust Vectoring Activation.
  • Activate3: Control Canards Activation.
  • Activate4: Activate Missiles/Weapons Bay.

NOTES

  • Due to the single-engine configuration of the aircraft, response time for increased engine power while performing advanced maneuvers will be longer compared to twin-engine aircraft.
  • I recommend using canards for takeoff and landing for increased control.
  • Performing advanced maneuvers at low speeds can cause the aircraft to "snap-roll" if the maneuver is executed too slowly.

Thoughts or suggestions? Let me know!

@Mantha Thanks! The aircraft can experience a slight/moderate stall if a hard turn is conducted when the speed is too low (or when the turn is executed very quickly).
I would recommend joystick/mouse control because movement is generally much smoother, and lowers the risk of over-maneuvering.

Good plane, but performing quick turns tends to make it stall, it seems.

@GuyFolk Thanks! I considered the AoS limiter, but figured it wasn't really necessary for this project.
    Thanks for the feedback!

Good job on the flight model, I like it a lot.
It's incredibly smooth for how simple the code is. (Just linear equation, no dynamic sensitivity adjustment, no PID wizardry.)
I suggest you to add some angle of slip correction to those rudder, the rudder is smell so I think it's the only way to increase yaw stability without actually make the rudder bigger.
And yes, angle of slip correction will interfere with PSM at high AoA but you can always disable the code when PSM is kicking in.
I hope I'm not confusing you with that lol.

This is a really cool fighter, there’s no way I could learn how to do things this intricate in SimplePlanes.
