MRTS-C3500A Crescent
The MRTS-C3500A Electric Multiple Unit (locally referred to as the Crescent 3500 Series) is a class of light-rail electric multiple units operated by the Metropolitan Rapid Transit System (MRTS) in Diwa City, Pearlia. The trains serve Metro Rail Transit Line 1 (MRT-1), a 28-kilometre north–south orbital corridor running along Eizial Avenue, one of the metropolitan region’s primary at-grade transport spines.
Introduced between 2009 and 2014, the C3500A units were developed as a modernized, locally adapted evolution of the retired Tatra RT8D5, maintaining the robust articulated concept while employing upgraded Pearlian electrical systems and lightweight materials. The class is the first MRTS fleet fully assembled in Pearlia from imported kits and domestic components.
