ACS-53 (Fletcher FU-24)

24.6k randomusername  17 days ago

The Fletcher FU-24 is an aeroplane tasked for aerial spraying in NewZealand. Since I like NewZealand, I decided to make the Fletcher FU-24 designed by Pacific Aerospace. I've done some research and found that this plane is a STOL and has no retractable landing gear, which is weird in my opinion.
-This is a mix of many different variations.
.

Stats:

  • This version weighs 4,000 pounds
  • "Was stressed for 10G's", so this can pull 10G's
  • 59 mph landing speed. (Or 43 mph if you use reverse thrust).
  • Shorter wingspan by 4ft and a whole lot longer. :(
  • Fast acceleration
  • 190mph top speed.
  • infinite range.
  • Mobile friendly

    Aerial spraying.

  • If you fire too many bullets, it may lag your device.

    Controls

  • VTOL for engines.

  • Fire guns to shoot "water" or "fertilizer".

    Misc

  • Auto flaps included (They are just cosmetic)

  • ACS-53 just means "Aircraft start 53"

    Enjoy.

Ok, makes sense why the jokers are always flying gear down. I just figured it was because the flight times are only 5-10 minutes

I come from newzealand and they have/had 2 fletchers in the arodrome near me one is a turbo prop. The other one cliped a tree and had to be force landed in a padock. The reason they dont have retractable e landing gear is because it would get in the way of the fertaliser despensor also for the reason before because they are flowen in such dangerouse conditions it is easyer to land with landing gear always down rather than have to rush to put them down in time. yes they have to handle hard G force as they commonly have to spray feilds in vallys and this is why they commonly get nicknamed dive bombers. at the local arodrome the piolet often only uses a tenth of the runway and then taxies straight to the depo and re-supplys before taking off to do more spraying.
BTW I think you did a good job.

Also, at high angles of attack, the roll becomes inverted due to adverse yaw @randomusername

It's not realistic but it's how I like my planes to stall @Chancey21 I rather have my plane be able to have a very high angle of attack compared to a small but stable angle of attack.
    .
A high angle of attack allows for more efficient use of the wing area. If planes were limited to a 0-degree angle of attack, the takeoff and landing speeds would be crazy!

Stalls a little weird, a tail first stall would be uncommon and dangerous in this type plane

WHY THIS PLANE RESISTANT TO MISSILE ATTACKS?
