Vladimir Lenin-class CVN REUPLOAD
THIS VERSION DOES NOT HAVE THE ISSUE WITH A LIST CAUSED BY TURNING TO PORT
The Vladimir Lenin-class Nuclear-powered Supercarrier is a massive, 1,412 foot-long (430.3m) leviathan. The vessel is equipped with 8 platforms for weapons systems such as LaWS, CIWS, SeaRAM-style launching systems, Armored Box Launchers, or even systems such as 76mm guns.
Powerplant:
The vessel is powered by 2 Pressurized Water Reactors providing a total 2000MW of power; these reactors feed the ship's 8 geared steam turbines which drive the 4 shafts, which in turn drive 4 massive propellers, giving the vessel a maximum speed of around 34 knots.
Flight Deck and Aircraft Handling Facilities:
Vladimir Lenin is equipped with 5 Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching System (EMALS) catapults. A typical air wing will consist of 90 to 100 aircraft; while it can carry many more, this is to assure that the vessel can efficiently launch, recover, and resupply aircraft.
Vladimir Lenin also has a large flight deck control bridge that permits the vessel to manage large numbers of aircraft at one time, and the built-in AI makes Vladimir Lenin the perfect command ship for a fleet or armada.
Weapon Systems:
Vladimir Lenin is shown here to have 2 Armored Box Launchers mounting 8 cruise missiles. These ABLs can also mount SAMs, although these cruise missiles give the vessel an offensive ship-to-ship capability. The vessel is also shown here to have 4 RAM launchers, the RAMs here have 6 missiles each, although they would, in reality, mount up to 9 each. There are also 2 30mm Defender CIWS.
Controls:
AG1 + AG3 for the port (left) RAM launchers, VTOL (DOWN) for elevation, TRIM for horizontal rotation;
AG2 + AG4 for the starboard (right) RAM launchers, VTOL (DOWN) for elevation, TRIM for horizontal rotation;
AG5 + VTOL + TRIM for the CIWS;
AG6 + VTOL + TRIM for the starboard Box Launcher;
AG 7 + VTOL + TRIM for the port Box Launcher;
Throttle for well, throttle;
Roll for steering;
Brake for reverse (I didn't tweak this part, so it'll probably be very slow in reverse).
History(-ish):
Vladimir Lenin was designed as a response to the Katherine A. Wilde-class CVN of the Iridium Federation. She is considerably larger and more capable, and has a similar jagged shape. This jagged flight deck is designed to reduce the vessel's RCS, although it does come with some minor drawbacks. The vessel does however, have a lower operating cost than some carriers due to a greater number of automated functions in the vessel, allowing for a smaller crew.
Cost:
Approx. $13.7 billion per vessel.
Notes:
-Yes, this was inspired by RocCrafter101's CVN, however, if you look closely, there are numerous differences.
-She seems to list to port when she makes a left turn, so be mindful of that.
