The T240

This is a twin otter ripoff and a realistic twin prop. This design encompasses many elements of realism thanks to the addition of Funky Trees.

Controls:

AG1: Engine 1 start
AG2: Engine 2 start
AG3: Feather propeller 1
AG4: Feather propeller 2
AG5: Parking brakes
AG6 + Throttle: Reverse thrust
AG6 + Brake: Reverse thrust
AG7: Landing lights
AG8: All other lights
Trim up: Trim nose down
Trim down: Trim nose up
VTOL down: Flaps

Caution:

This plane has semi-realistic P-factor, slipstream and prop torque simulation, as well as a semi-realistic passive rudder trim system. Therefore, at lower speeds, angles of attack, and thrust, left rudder should be applied, and the opposite is also true for right rudder. This means on takeoff roll, you should apply some left rudder as the engines spool up, and then switch to right rudder.

Procedures:

Engine start:

Press 5.
If not on already, press 8.
Ensure AG3 and 4 are not on.
Press 2 for engine 2 start.
Wait for the engine to start correctly.
Press 1 for engine 1 start.

Powerback:

Press 6.
Set throttle as needed and yaw for steering.
When stopping, press 6 before applying brakes.

Landing roll:

Make sure full flaps is set prior to landing.
Once past the runway threshold, press 6.
Touch down on main wheels first and apply 30% throttle with AG6 on. *DO NOT APPLY WHEEL BRAKING.
Once at 30kt turn AG6 and 7 off and set brakes as appropriate.
