Simple 5th Gen

by   52.0k Sarpanitu  3 months ago

This is a lower part (No head movement) 5th Gen cockpit, that has better details due to some innovative part repurposing and better construction methods. Should be more appropriate for mobile users and a bonus to immersion in any build.

Hey dude so I'm taking on a huge project and I mean huge it's very complex and very complicated design I've had to stop all other projects to primarily research this I'm making a TR-3B your one of the best when it comes to parts so I have come to you at the moment I have nothing but I thought I'd let you know I an very likely to be asking for lots of parts one may be a spiral opening bay which reveals the engines in vtol flight like I said this build is seriously huge not in size as much but in complexity it's going to take a while

@Sauce Whatever way works for you but it's 10x easier at a larger scale imo

@Sarpanitu near impossible? but i built the cockpit of my old leviathan without scaling the whole thing and inside the hull XD

@Sauce Oh no, no I meant for reference and dissassembly haha easier to take apart the full scale and it's a better example to see where to start at because building at that final tiny size is near impossible.

@Sauce For sure man, this was inspired by the f22 cockpit I can link you the full scale version of this if you'd like but it's hard to work with now because I've group rotated the console already. Might be good for reference though.

@Sarpanitu can i use the concept of this cockpit to make my own for my new plane?
i like what you did with rotators with mishes and detachers

I'm very anti part lol if it can look the same with less, less is more. I prefer physics not to be bogging down my CPU/GPU whatever.

Nothing, I probably just left something's input as VTOL and set the AG to 9 to lock it out. @BaconRoll

@AtomicCashew you have to remove the canopy, and there's a miniature cockpit inside. Remove that and perhaps save it by itself as a subassembly too. When you use this cockpit you'll have to put the little one back in the same place, to do this, connect it to the top of the seat and then copy the y axis coordinates on the target retical and paste then for the cockpit. It should now be aligned.
The easier method is to simply make your plane into a subassmbly, download this and attach your plane to it. Your call though, I'm not really gonna be sour if people use this without me getting a successor bonus. I just want better immersion for all lol

I know I sound stupid for asking... and I am new at SP... but how do I put this cockpit into the subassemblies?

@JoddyFubuki788 No, same size as my other easy install cockpits just less parts so less CPU intensive lol
