yes this is good idea. then we can make windows thing two 40% pieces. never thought of doing it this way before

just like with the intakes - u could adjust the thickness of the skin, potentially even affecting if whatever is inside will get hit by guns or other weaponry.
Maybe even giving the possibility to add doors(weapon bay like) just like putting control surfaces on wings....
