Important announcement (account got raided)

2,820 RichardScepton  1.2 years ago

I got offline for some time, and when I returned I found that somebody got on and posted half a dozen tons of, well, mashed potato that I normally won't ever post on this site (including but not limited to: ** sites, 277353, BTC, etc.). I deleted them as soon as I found them (luckily, the SP staff lent a hand and took them down too), and once I did that, I wrote this forum post.

To those who've read those potato before I even knew what is going on, well, I offer my deepest apologies. While my account got raided, I am at fault too, for not making this account more secure before all this drama started. I have changed the password on this account, and taken further steps to prevent such an incident from happening again. Sorry if you have been bothered by those posts, and if you see anything similar again, please DM me on Reddit to tell me so, my username there is u/Any-Condition-2313.

Thank you if you understand, and if you don't, I understand why.

EDIT: edited out a few sensitive words. If you wanna DM over Discord, you can contact the other guy who's also running this account and owns the YT channel (this is a joint account btw), his Discord username is Richard Scepton #2650.

EDIT 2: Fixed a few spelling errors,

@SheriffHackdogMCPE Oh, thanks for the information. Guess I really missed out on a lot of things when I was still inactive over here...well not longer :)

@SimpleAreospace there was a massive hacking incident a few weeks ago where a stolen bank account selling website allegedly took control or hacked multiple accounts, primarily inactive accounts, to promote their website. Also they also hacked a handful of silver, gold and platinum accounts. It happened not only in SP, but also lots of websites as well. They were able to gain access to your account by checking if you use your password, especially a weaker one, on other sites, then take control on one of the sites they have attacked, and other things like credentials stuffing.
