Part Efficient Aircrafts!

also my first VTOL aircraft

The Yakovlev Yak-38 (Russian: ??????? ??-38; NATO reporting name: "Forger") was Soviet Naval Aviation's only operational VTOL strike fighter aircraft in addition to being its first operational carrier-based fixed-wing aircraft. It was developed specifically for, and served almost exclusively on, the Kiev-class aircraft carriers (heavy aviation cruiser in Russian classification).

Controls:

CTOL

-Standard SP controls

VTOL

VTOL- lowers the nozzles
AG1- gyroscope for stable takeoff
Pitch- fwd/bckwrd
[Roll]- roll left or right,although gyro limits that
[Yaw]-turn around if the speed is pretty low
[]use together for better turning

Takeoff/Landing procedure:

Takeoff:
-Lower VTOL ALL THE WAY DOWN and turn on AG1
-Throttle to 100%
-When you are enough high,close the landing gear,push VTOL forward a bit to start accelerating and SLOWLY move it to the normal position while pitching upwards(because the aircraft will drop down if you do not)
-Turn off AG1
-Yay you are flying now :)

Landing:
-Either land it normally or:
-Push VTOL all the way down and turn to slow down
-When you are slow enough,turn on AG1 and control yourself to be in position with the landing strip
-Lower the throttle a bit to drop down
-Profit

Weapons:
2x UPK-23 gunpods with GSh-23 23mm cannons
2x R-60M heat seeking missiles

Other variants:
Anyakovlev Yak-38 "Forger"

Notes:
-The aircraft is kinda hard to land since it does not have an airbrake.
-Also it does not even have countermeasures.
-Trim is required to level the aircraft.
-I added 2 hidden wings up in front because it maneuvered like a brick,bringing a total number to 7 wings.

Have fun,as always :D

    @TheMouse ...I don't do disable drag on parts because I need it to perform better more in flight and less more on the landing kek lmao

    It would slow the plane down after it reaches a certain speed. Talk to monarchii, but I think it would work.

    @TheMouse how would that work?

    @SuperSuperTheSylph
    Oh, thats unfortunate. You could add some airbrakes with input set to IAS>300.

    @TheMouse yup it flies realistically(i have just checked) but it cannot V/STOL anymore because t/w needs to be over 1

    It could, (I do not remember) but it makes it fly more realistically.

    @TheMouse idk...wouldn't that affect t/w ratio?

    You can go into overload, and set the power multiplier on the engine to .3, or lower, and then it will not go too fast.

    @TheMouse yup ik.....but i feel if i did turn off all drag it would be irrealistic because it would easily exceed max speed of 1280 km/h(690 kn)

    @TheMouse might try,if it works well i will update the XML(it was kind of my intention to put it in front)
